Yummy It Up Like Yogita Bihani!

The lockdown owing to the pandemic has become a period of monotony, uncertainty and difficulty for many. However, there have been some who have been using this mundane stretch of time to work on fine tuning their skills, exercising their creativity and spending quality time with their family. One such enthusiast is fan’s favorite girl; the elegant, exuberant and effervescent Yogita Bihani who has been spending her lockdown with her family in Mumbai.

From being the Dus ka Dum girl with Salman Khan, to a budding chef in Femme Foodies, Yogita Bihani found her popularity in daily soap / web series “Dil Hi Toh Hai” launched by Ekta Kapoor. She won the “Dil” of the audience with her acting chops who swooned over as the simple and sweet Dr Palak. Like several other shows’ Dil Hi Toh Hai remained incomplete when lockdown was announced and Yogita took this time to channelize her creative energy in cooking and baking, setting examples for perfect quarantine celebratory. One look at her Instagram Stories; you know cooking is her passion, her meditative therapy which keeps her smiling and calm during these testing times. It is also exciting to know that during lockdown, she has been the savior for her friends, dishing out cookery tips to “Yummy it up like Yogita”. The eagle-eyed girl has been churning out healthy bakes and delicious cakes while bonding with her family and sharing glimpses with her fans.

She was kind enough to share with us the recipe of her favorite “Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie”, a perfect shot of energy packed with healthy seeds and nuts that keeps her glowing, happy and active through the day.

-1 frozen banana (kept in the refrigerator for more than 2 hours)

– 1 tablespoon peanut butter

– 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder or cinnamon power (Your choice)

– 3/4 cup yogurt

– Blend them all together.

– Top it with muesli, nuts, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, berries, whatever is available at home.

– One can also use the same ingredients to make banana peanut butter ice-cream
