MUMBAI: YouTuber UK07 Rider, also known as Anurag Dobhal, finally confirmed that he was not attacked by Munawar Faruqui’s fans. The explanation was provided many hours after a video of the Bigg Boss 17 contestant hurriedly getting into his car went viral on social media. After it was said that Dobhal was attacked by Munawar’s supporters, the former has now stated that this was untrue.
Anurag Dobhal disclosed in an interview with a well-known news source that the viral video is from one of his most recent vlogs. He revealed that he was attacked by his own followers while traveling to Yamunanagar for his “All India Riders” event.
“There was an event in Yamunanagar and we were almost 1km far from the venue. The meet-up was related to a social cause, basically promoting road safety. Also, there were giveaways from All India Riders and fans jammed and blocked the entire highway,” Anurag said and then added, “Police were in our scot and they came and cleared all the mob after a lot of struggle.”
Dobhal’s team also confirmed that those surrounding Dobhal’s car were not Munawar Faruqui’s fans. The team also clarified that the YouTuber was safe and was not attacked.
Previously, a video of Anurag hurriedly getting into his car became viral on social media. The YouTuber appeared scared and could be heard asking his driver to hurry. There were people gathered around the car as well. Several unverified claims surfaced after the video became popular on social media, claiming that the YouTuber got into a fight with the owner of a coffee shop after the latter called him a “joker.”
In addition, it was rumored that the owner of the coffee shop was a big fan of Munawar Faruqui and that he lost it on Anurag when commented against the stand-up comedian.
Anurag Dobhal and Munawar Faruqui both competed in Bigg Boss 17, which was won by the former, earlier this year. Salman Khan’s show featured a difficult relationship between Munawar and Anurag on their journey. In another move that Anurag later said was unfair, Munawar removed him from the show as well.
Later, Anurag also criticized Munawar’s victory on Bigg Boss, saying, “Sorry, jitna toh show ka winning prize tha utna toh humne donate kar diya. But fir bhi ghamand nahi karte haina. (Sorry, we donated as much as the winning prize of the show. But still, we should not boast).”
