MUMBAI: business degree has been giving exclusive updates regarding ALT Balaji’s upcoming series The Family. The mafia based project is made under heavy budget and Ekta Kapoor herself is keeping a keen eye on it. The multi-starrer already has big names like Vivek Oberoi, Sandeepa Dhar, Gayatri Iyer, Ravi Kissen, Veebha Anand and Rithvik Dhanjani.
The latest update coming from the project is that the veteran actress Suhasini Mulay and Flora Saini have joined the drama. The 67-year-old Mulay essays the role of the head honcho of ‘The family.’ As business degree reported earlier, the narrative focuses on a gangster family, and Mulay plays the mafia lord. The National Award winning actress was last seen in 2016’s epic drama Mohenjo Daro.
On the other hand, Flora plays a pivotal role. The 33-year-old actress has predominantly worked in the South Indian film industry. Saini played an impactful character in Inside Edge. Interestingly, she will be sharing the screen space with her Inside Edge co-star Vivek Oberoi in this ALT Balaji’s project. Not much is known about her character; however, we hear it will be catalyst in the storyline.
Our reliable source confirms that the actresses will soon begin shooting.
When contacted Flora and Suhasini, both the actresses maintained a “no comment” stance.
For the people who are not much aware of the show, it is loosely based on the iconic The Godfather series. This is one of the prestigious projects helmed by ALT Balaji and we can only anticipate the impact it will have on the audience.
