The entertainment industry’s most unconventional diva Rimi Sen best known for her hit films like Phir Hera Pheri, Hungama, Dhoom, Deewane Huye Paagal, Golmaal, Garam Masala, Kyon Ki and many more had also participated in the controversial reality show Big Boss 9. Though the actress during her journey kept saying she isn’t suitable for the show and wants to quit, she managed to stay inside for 49 days. Rimi recently revealed money was the only motivation for her to be in the show. Also, she has no regrets about participating in the show in fact she calls it a great learning experience.
Rimi opened up, “See we do few things for fame and some for money. So I did Bigg Boss only for money. They paid me around 2.25 crore for 49 days and nobody can earn this much money in such a short time. Most of the time people fail to understand the actual concept of Bigg Boss. The show is not about fighting and getting highlighted or giving content. This show is about getting your hidden personality out. Har kisi ke andar ek kharab shaks chhupa hua hai so usko bahar lakar vo dikhate hain ki he or she is the real person. And I found the concept very interesting when it got offered to me. They purposely create tasks in a way that your worst side comes out in public and that is something you have to have a hold on yourself”.
She went on to say, “Those who get to understand the concept they tend to become winners”.
Ask her if people’s perception changed for her after she came out of the show and Rimi says, “Maine aisa kuch kiya hi nahi. I was very calm and not affected by anyone around me at that time. I knew that I have come for money and I have to behave good and go out with a good image which I did. I was quite successful in doing that”.
Rimi who went missing from the screen and turned producer wants to get back to acting after a gap of 10 years now. The actress says it was her conscious decision as she wasn’t being offered the kind of roles she wanted to do.
