Star Plus show Anupamaa is a one of a kind show and the audience cannot have enough of the drama.
Right from the inception of the show, people have enjoyed the drama featuring Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma and Rupali Ganguly in the lead roles. The show started off by narrating a tale about Anupamaa, who parts with her ambitions and goals in a bid to raise her family, feels dejected when she fails to get any credit for her sacrifices and trials. She then decides to live on her own terms.
The current drama revolves around sexual harassment at workplace which Kinjal is currently facing. The character is played by Nidhi Shah and in an exclusive conversation, Nishi shared her views on the same.
She said, “This is something which is been going on since ages. Women should put their foot down and raise their voice against harassments or any kind of abuse.”
We asked her a take that given that Kinjal is opinionated, does she think that Kinjal should have pointed and drawn his limits than keeping mum about it or turning to Anupama for help? We also questioned her if while performing the scene was she personally affected as it was quite heart wrenching.
Nidhi said, “Essentially this track is for those girls who don’t raise their voice and especially for the families who don’t support the girl instead blame them. Not every girl is Kinjal. I am sure Kinjal and Nidhi would have surely reacted to this. As for my performance, it does affects you to an extent as I have faced something similar to this.”
Produced by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi under Director’s Kut Productions, it stars Rupali Ganguly in the titular role. It is based on Star Jalsha’s Bengali series Sreemoyee. There is also a Marathi version of the show which runs on Star Pravah titled Aai Kuthe Kai Karte?
